Thursday – Personal Bible Study (click here for today’s YouTube Video).
Take time to read James 4. Today, as we look at the book of James again, I share a quote that causes us to reflect on our own motives and actions. I pray today’s study will bring God’s light to your own heart and the battles that rage there within.
Spinoza, 17th century Jewish philosopher; “I have often wondered the persons who make boast of professing the Christian religion – namely love, joy, peace, temperance, and charity to all men- should quarrel with such rancorous animosity, and displayed daily towards one another such bitter hatred, that this, rather than the virtues which they profess, is the readiest criteria of their faith.”
FOR US TO CONTINUE TO STUDY AND CONNECT: Share your thoughts in the comment section on Facebook or YouTube.
1) Plant God’s word in your heart – Read James 4
2) Teach others as you share your favorite verse.
3) If Christ teaches a message of love, why do so many Christ-followers often demonstrate the opposite? What is in your heart that causes hatred, arguing, fighting, and quarrels with other brothers and sisters?
