Daily Personal Bible Study

It has been said, “Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions.  The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.”

In your relationship with God, would you say he gives more than you give thanks for, or do you give thanks for more than He gives?  If we miss the opportunities to give thanks for the great and many gifts God gives, how can we do a fair job of expressing gratitude to others when they share with us?

Psalm 100:4-5 – Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Join us this week for several video Bible talks.  Debuting on Tuesday (Nov. 17), Matt and Kyle will unpack several points for Sunday’s lesson and additional scriptures.  Our conversation will guide you to several opportunities for more in-depth personal study.

2020-09-17 – Personal Bible Study (click here for today’s YouTube Video).

Join us each day as we read and reflect on the book of Proverbs. This conversation between Matt and Kyle takes us deeper into the overall message of Proverbs, as well as the ways that we can continue to apply God’s Word to our lives as we seek to live wisely and be formed into the image of Christ.

Sometimes when we read scripture hoping to find wisdom and instruction, we come across passages that don’t seem to provide any guidance for our current situation. And at other times, we find that every word we read jumps off the page and speaks deeply to where we are, how we’re feeling, and what is going on around us. How do we process this strange relationship with Scripture? How do we discern what is useful for the moment and what might be helpful for later? Check out today’s video to find out!

We would love to hear YOUR STORIES about the ways that you have encountered Scripture. Tell us a story in the comments section below about a time when a particular passage was especially meaningful and spoke directly to your situation. We would love to hear from you!
