Drew Baker is proud husband to Sarah and father of Jude and Rowan. Drew grew up in Abilene, Texas where he went on to earned his Bachelors in Youth and Family Ministry. He met Sarah in the summer of 1999 on a mission trip in Honduras. Four years later they married and moved to Korea where they would spend a year teaching English as a Second Language. They then moved to Troy, Tennessee where Drew served for five years as youth minister. While in Tennessee, Sarah earned her Nursing Degree and Jude was born. In 2009, they moved back to Abilene where Drew pursued his M.Div and Rowan was born. After graduation, Drew began serving the Northwest Church of Christ in San Antonio as youth minister while also gaining valuable experience in the pulpit. During this time, it became ever clearer that God was calling Drew to preach full-time. The Baker family is excited to have been called to South Fork where their family has felt overwhelmingly loved and accepted. Drew is a current candidate in ACU’s Doctor of Ministry Program and Sarah is beginning her Masters of Nursing at Duke University School of Nursing to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
David Keen has been our Youth Minister since January of 2006. He is originally from Texas, by way of Ohio and, by way of God’s grace, he has found a family and home in Winston Salem. He graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He and his amazing wife Kiera (pronounced Kear-uh) along with their two sons Tyler and Tucker, and princess Emerson, are involved in the daily opportunity and blessing of working with our teenagers and their families here at South Fork. “Words cannot express the joy and gladness we feel everyday to see these young men and women grow and mature in Christ’s footsteps. Our prayer is that Christ will use us in what ever way he sees fit, to fulfill His will.” “For you are the potter, and we are the clay” – Isaiah 64:8
