In 2008 our church and community were blessed with a visit from Jerry and Lynn Jones. The “Marriage Matters” seminar they conducted strengthened our families and gave us a fun and knowledgeable experience from two very dynamic and skilled individuals. In just a few weeks, Sept. 23–26, Jerry and Lynn will be with us once again to share about important aspects to help us in our relationships. Here is some info on the upcoming seminar and this incredible couple.

Relationship Matters is a 13-session conference that grew out of the Marriage Matters conference. As in Marriage Matters, an in-depth analysis of relevant topics provides insight, and godliness is incorporated into the solutions. Since Relationships Matter grew out of the Marriage Matters conference, the content of the conference resembles Marriage Matters in format and topic. The presentation of the material has been reformatted to target relationships in general.

This dynamic “teaching couple” brings unique experiences and exceptional qualifications to the “Marriage Matters” conference. Jerry’s education includes two master’s degrees and a doctorate. His forty-plus year teaching ministry has taken him to 43 states and six foreign countries and includes 17 years of teaching at Harding University. Lynn’s education and experience includes a master’s degree in clinical psychology, clinical practice and seven years of university-level teaching.

Jerry and Lynn married in 1995, the second marriage for each. Jerry’s 35-year marriage ended in 1994 with the loss of his wife after a five-year battle with cancer. Lynn’s 23-year marriage ended in divorce in 1993. Since beginning their 13 session Marriage Matters series in 1996, Jerry and Lynn have presented hundreds of conferences and have spoken to thousands of people across the United States. Jerry and Lynn openly share their insights and experience in this series of vibrant and challenging sessions designed to benefit any individual or relationship.
